Hi, I’m Tanya
I am a qualified Relational Counsellor working Integratively with adults of all ages.
It was my own experience of personal therapy that inspired me to become a fully qualified counselling therapist. Through-out my years of training and my ongoing work in personal practice, I continue to witness the support and strength of the Client/Counsellor relationship, the changes that can occur when you have the power of two working toward a similar goal.
In the time I put aside for my own mental health and wellbeing, you will find me making the most of nature and the great outdoors. I am a walker, a pet lover, a reader, a crafter, a local explorer and wanna be Monty Don. I continually find joy in the small things…….
In Person / Online Therapy
My welcoming and safe counselling room is in Old Town, Swindon where I’m based at varying times of the week. I also provide counselling therapy appointments online via Zoom video calling or by telephone. Zoom can be securely downloaded for free onto a computer, laptop or other mobile device. Whichever way we meet, your session will be easily accessible and in a safe comfortable environment.
Walk & Talk / Outdoor Therapy
Evidence suggests there are real benefits to be gained by being able to combine the positive aspects of being outdoors with the benefits of talking therapy. We know that being outside can improve mood, help us to sleep better and decrease stress and anxiety for example. It can be both soothing and exhilarating. It provides the opportunity to increase exposure to natural light and fresh air that our bodies and brains instinctively respond to. Please contact me for more details…
I am sincerely grateful to her for giving me a safe, non-judgemental and constructive arena to share, discuss, understand and repair.
I felt I could say anything to Tanya, she just listened to me and guided me in a direction I could cope with.
If you’re looking for someone to help you unpick your thoughts, I highly recommend Tanya. She is such a lovely person and the best listener.
